Sunday Random 10

Hope you all celebrated Record Store Day in the traditional manner. We picked up a Lovin' Spoonful anthology yesterday to add to the mix for this week, so we'll see if it comes up. (The three Van Morrison LPs acquired haven't been burned from vinyl to disc yet.)

Let's...Hit...Shuffle!

Dolly Varden - We Are Lucky (Live)
The New Standards - Toxic
Bonnie Raitt - Million Miles
The Monkees - (I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone
Dr. John - Kingdom of Izzness
Preservation Hall Jazz Band (feat. Louis Armstrong) - Rockin' Chair
Junior Brown - Surf Medley
Lucinda Williams - Blessed
Arcade Fire - Modern Man
Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings - If You Call

The Dolly Varden tune's a live track that may appear on their forthcoming album. (Get a sneak peek here.) Yes, that's a Britney Spears cover by the terrific New Standards. Couple of new songs from solid new albums by Ms. Raitt and the Doc. Lucinda's title track made our Faves compilation last year.

We now return you to This Week's Discussion Question (Will her personal Warhol clock never run down?), now in progress.
