Sunday Random 10 (x3)

Hey, how did we get three weeks behind? Oh yeah, we were cleaning TWDQ HQ last weekend for a Mothers' Day celebration--then it turned out to be such a nice day that everyone wanted to be outside.

Let's...Hit...Shuffle!

05/06/2012
R.E.M. - Shiny Happy People
Crowded House - Into Temptation
The Coasters - Young Blood
Kirsty MacColl - Caroline
Legendary Shack Shakers - Two Tickets to Hell
The Who - Sea and Sand
Taylor Swift (feat. The Civil Wars) - Safe & Sound
Brinsley Schwarz - Brand New You, Brand New Me
The New Standards - The Inchworm
The Who - Sally Simpson

11. The Who - Imagine a Man

The Nano had quite the thing for The Who this week.

05/13/2012
Blind Pilot - I Know
The Beatles - With a Little Help from My Friends
Arcade Fire - Windowsill
The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night
Paul McCartney - She Said Yeah
Fountains of Wayne - Cemetery Guns
Muddy Waters - My Home Is In the Delta
Wilco - Sonny Feeling
The Beatles - Love You To
The Soggy Bottom Boys - I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow

Lots of Beatles here, which isn't a surprise. The Soggy Bottom Boys track always reminds us of Dan Tyminski's wife's great quip when he told her that in the musical numbers in O Brother, Where Art Thou, she'll hear his voice but see George Clooney singing:  "Dan, that's my fantasy."

05/20/2012
The Lovin' Spoonful - Younger Generation
The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night
The Beach Boys - Sloop John B.
The Replacements - I Will Dare
Old 97's - The Dance Class
Dwight Yoakam - Little Ways
The Pogues - Fiesta
Los Straitjackets - Ana (Anna)
The Replacements - Androgynous
Gary U.S. Bonds - Daddy's Come Home

Bonus
11 - Gear Daddies - Little Red Corvette
12 - Lost Dogs - Breathe Deep

The Nano's got a "All Day and All of the Night" streak going here. A pair from the 'Mats great Let it Be, a tune from the recently acquired Bonds live at King Biscuit Flower Hour disc, and when we let it keep rolling, the first two bonus tracks were quite excellent as well.

We now return you to This Week's Discussion Question (Don't you just love schadenfreude?), already in progress.
