Requiem

It is with joyful memories and great sadness that we pose This Week's Discussion Question:

Was there ever a ballplayer more fun to watch than Kirby Puckett?

Please keep the discussion civil and do not wander off into "Yes," because you'd be wrong.

Requiescat in pace.

There may have been, but if there was, there name escapes me. Kirby will always be one of the best.

No.

We Twins fans have been blessed by being able to watch first Kirby and now Torii Hunter, who I believe has almost the same infectious enthusiasm and joy for baseball that Kirby did. (I just wish he would learn to lay off the low and outside curveball when he has two strikes on him.)

Go with God, Kirby.

I will always remember my 7-year-old son waking up late in Game 6 of the '91 Series. When CBS came back from the break showing Charlie Leibrandt warming up with Puck first up in the bottom of the 11th, I pulled the kid onto the sofa with me and said "Climb up here for a minute, this won't take long."
